About Poppy's B&B
For the last year we have been involved with the building of our dream house in this stunning location, and now look forward to sharing it with our guests.
Stephen and Trish are passionate and knowledgeable about the Wanaka region. Trish is now a tour guide for Wanaka Sightseeing and "Lord of the Rings" Tours, so who better to ensure that you get the very best out of your time in Wanaka. She has a wealth of information about the local sight-seeing possibilities and can advise about the best walks, ski runs, restaurants, vineyards - whatever your interests are, we can help.
We have both had long careers in the Arts in New Zealand, Stephen as a musician in The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and Trish as a dancer and choreographer for the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company, Television NZ, and with most of the professional theatres in the country.
We have travelled very extensively overseas, particularly to Europe, and really enjoy meeting and interacting with people from other countries. We love mountain walking, skiing, golfing and food, and are happy to offer help and advice about these and other local pursuits.
Poppy's is close to great walking, golfing, fishing, mountain biking and skiing, and just 4 mins drive from Wanaka's charming town centre with its lively bars, cafes, restaurants, and great shopping.
